Mission

“Green Earth Environmental Cleaning Solutions,” is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). We embrace innovation and environmentally centered ideas by using alternative fuel vehicles and electric backpack blowers to meet the, California Air Resource Board (CARB), requirements. Additionally, in order to work with clients who have concerns about waterway pollution, from what the EPA calls nonpoint sources (NPS) we always look for trouble spots to address within a service area and share the plan of action to clean those areas with our clients. Nonpoint Source Pollution comes mainly from rainfall, snowmelt, or from any water usage without a mechanism that filters or captures flowing water before it enters a storm drain or waterway. As the runoff moves across parking lots or any paved surface, it picks up and carries away natural and human-made pollutants, finally depositing them into lakes, rivers, wetlands, coastal waters, and even our underground sources of drinking water. These pollutants include: oil, grease, heavy metal microparticles, vehicle exhaust, and pet waste.  Our scope of work revolves around EPA guidelines and a commitment to the development of innovative cleaning solutions that integrate readily and fully within our clients environmental cleaning needs.

“The environment, after all, is where we all meet, where we all have a mutual interest.  It is one thing that all of us share.  It is not only a mirror of ourselves, but a focusing lens on what we can become.”

History

In 2016, we decided to launch, Green Earth Environmental Cleaning Solutions, due to the heartbreaking reports of sea life, either ingesting or being entangled in plastic within our oceans and in 2018 we restructured our company and incorporated. Additionally, reports of debris, fertilizers, and pesticides entering our freshwater supplies, untreated through storm drains, were the two main challenges that inspired us to take action and do our part in preserving the planet for future generations. Our company’s purpose is to protect our precious and delicate water ecosystems and to clean up our communities by mitigating microparticles and debris from entering storm drains and other water access points. Historically, surface pressure washing and parking lot sweeping has been done for aesthetic purposes, however, environmental concerns and regulations have become increasingly prevalent over the past several decades. Today, pollutants transported through storm water and harmful microparticles effecting air quality, are some of the most important reasons to pressure wash and sweep parking lots or paved surfaces. We have probably all seen footage of dolphins and sea turtles struggling to navigate within their habitats, due to plastic debris or massive floating garbage patches encroaching upon their freedom to travel. It is hard to say exactly how much garbage is in the ocean, but the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration estimates that billions of pounds of trash and other pollutants get dumped into our oceans each year. By having a regularly scheduled parking lot sweeping and pressure washing program, your organization will be joining the fight, in eliminating the damage to our planet and ecosystems from pollutants entering our waterways, due to the absence of a unified strategy of proper waste removal.
